Telepsychology Services

The practice offers both in-person and Telepsychology appointments. Telepsychology remains available for clients who prefer to attend sessions online, when clinically appropriate.

We encourage all clients who are sick, or experiencing symptoms such as fever, trouble breathing, or coughing, to call to reschedule any in-person appointments at (902) 826-1704. If you have symptoms, but you'd like to keep your scheduled appointment, a Telepsychology appointment is an option for you.

Online appointments are held through Zoom for Healthcare, a secure version of Zoom designed for healthcare use. Please note that Zoom for Healthcare complies with Canadian Data Protection regulations, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, locally, the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA).

Note - If you are looking for a first-time appointment, please visit the Intake Information page.

Before your appointment, you will need to download and test Zoom. Zoom is available to be installed on a computer, tablet, iPhone, or Android device. You do not need a Zoom account to join the session, and it is both PC and Mac compatible. As long as your device has a front-facing camera and microphone, you can use it.

For everything you need to know about downloading and using the online software please visit Zoom Help Center Getting Started. Included on the website are links to download, instructions, video tutorials as well as a FAQ page.

To ensure that you are prepared and comfortable for your Telepsychology session, please visit the Preparation for Your Telepsychology Appointment page as soon as you have a scheduled appointment. Before your appointment, you will be sent a Zoom link that you will use to enter your session.
