About Marilyn

I obtained my Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology in 2001 from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Since then, I have been working with children, teens, young adults, couples, and families treating a variety of mental health difficulties using evidence-based therapy approaches (e.g., Cognitive Behavioural Therapy [CBT] and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [ACT])

I have been working in the private practice sector since April 2010.  Prior to this, I worked for nine years with the IWK Health Centre in Community Mental Health with a multidisciplinary team doing psychological assessments and implementing treatment plans for children and youth. I provided group therapy for anxiety and depression and ran parenting groups for ADHD and disruptive behaviour disorders.

I continue to support parents in their management of a wide range of presenting childhood challenges related to ADHD, disruptive behaviour disorders, and other pediatric and/or psychiatric disorders. Please refer to services for my areas of practice.
